SHOW STATEMENT: Artists have been creating visual stories for thousands of years. From the cave dwellers of Lascaux to the fresco painters of Pompeii, Mexican muralists, and Masters of the American West, artists have recorded history that not only narrate a particular event, but tell a story infused with profound emotion.
Nature, animals, and the female figure are central to my work. Together, these powerful players weave scenes of harmony, strength, and spiritual grace into a modern mythological tale. Expressed in a language of symbols and metaphors, these visual narratives reside in places where time is not linear and the lines between magic and reality are blurred, creating a world that is enchanting and mysterious and without logical explanation.
Sometimes described as ‘Magical Realism’, my imagery draws the viewer in through realistic detail, light, and color, but then summons their subconscious to step into an illusory world of possibilities, taking them to distant lands in their imagination.
I hope these visual stories take you to a quiet corner in your own imagination, offering stories and places that evoke emotion, present surprises, or invite inspiration. While I do not create art with this intent, my greatest reward is when these narratives make a personal and meaningful connection with the viewer.

ABOUT THE VENUE: The Alliance for the Arts is a vibrant and welcoming nonprofit visual and performing arts center located in the heart of southwest Florida. Since the 1970s, we’ve been transforming lives and improving community through the arts.
